Renting Tents - What Size????

The wedding season is upon us! We here at Celebrations are gearing up for the busiest time of the year when it comes to planning and reserving for our 2012 brides. We know that it can be a bit overwhelming when trying to choose between venues, caterers and photographers, but our team of event specialists is here to make choosing your rentals the easiest part of your planning process!

We have all heard the phrase “April showers bring May flowers”, and praying for no rain on your big day isn’t what we would call ideal, so our team is here to help keep you prepared! Outdoor weddings make for a gorgeous venue and our tents can not only make an event even more beautiful, but also help keep you covered for any surprise raindrops that may fall upon you…literally.

The most common question asked when getting a quote for a tent is “how big of a tent do I need for my event?” The first thing you will need to tell us is how many guests you are inviting. We determine how large of a tent you will need by how much square footage is required per person according to fire codes.

Also be prepared to let us know what you plan on hosting underneath the tented area. The sizing will be determined on whether you need space for standing room only, seated dining for a served or buffet dinner, DJ and dancing, or in some cases ceremony and reception.

As a follow up, we at Celebrations include a complimentary site evaluation with one of our tent specialists in order to guarantee the size of tent you were quoted for will fit in your designated area. This is also a great way to ensure that things will go smoothly at the time of delivery!

Our featured “do it yourself” look is paper flowers! Adding colorful paper flowers to a table, chair or even glassware is a fun and affordable way to show your personal style for any event.

We get hundreds of phone calls, emails and inquiries about tent rentals each year...

What size do I need? What are my decor options? What size will fit in my backyard? How much does a tent cost?

These are just a few of the questions we receive, but there are SO many more! And with good reason - there are so many options to choose from when renting tent - size, color, decor, flooring, heat, air conditioning, walls, doors and lighting.

We will help you find the right size and help figure out what options are best suited for your event and your budget. The question for today, however, is what is the difference between a clear top tent and and a white top tent? Let's go through the differences and look at some amazing photos along the way...

Recent Event - 50th Anniversary Party

A 20' x 30' canopy with white liner and Brushed Platinum Chandelier was a beautiful backdrop for this elegant dinner party.

Our 5' x 5' square tables were put together to create one long dining table for 25 guests. Rosette Charcoal overlays were draped over the Athens Bisque linens to create a soft and romantic look.

The tables were set with a double charger - Gold Beaded Chargers used over Platinum Lacquered Chargers - this layered look really set the table. Scroll flatware, Platinum Paradise china, Sonoma Glassware and Kensington Pewter napkins finished off the look.

The gorgeous floral arrangements and votives were provided by Ambience Floral Design.

The younger guests at the event had their very own table - a 48" round children's table set with a Jasper Pewter linen, Kensington Pewter napkins and Scroll flatware.

We love when Ambience Floral brings us a gorgeous centerpiece like this! We designed the whole table around the bright green, red, dark green and white flowers. The table was set with a Crimson linen and Amore White overlay with Crimson napkins. Olive Green Chargers, Rio Kiwi Dinner Plates, Metro Flatware and Red Bubble Goblets complete the table setting. The Walnut Wood Chairs gives the table a more rustic/woodsy feel.

Love & Lust Photo Shoot

Recently, Celebrations! Party Rentals and Tents and a few of our event professional friends came together for a photo shoot to help promote our respective products and services. The shoot was held on a beautiful day in the foothills at David Girard Vineyards, the perfect setting for any event. They used the grapevines and oak trees as a backdrop for some gorgeous table settings.

Yellow, aqua and red colors were used to achieve a fun and whimsical look.

Our Rio Ruby China was set with our Amber Bubble Goblets, Emma Wine glasses and finally our Taylor Flatware was added to create an eclectic look. One of our great catering clients, Beth Sogaard Catering provided the mouthwatering menu - their delicious treats definitely make the photos come to life.

There was a second set up at another amazing location at the vineyard with roman pillars framing the table.

For this look they kept the whimsy going by using our White Wedding Chairs, Kalvin China, Mason Jars and our new Savoie Wine Glass. True Love Photo is the talent behind the pictures, capturing every last detail and highlighting the beauty of the food, rentals and landscape.

Family style dining is a great alternative to traditional buffet dining at weddings and events. Not only can it more be cost effective, but it can create conversation between guests.

Celebrations! Party Rentals and Tents is always adding new rental items and this year we have added some great serving pieces. Our new line of melamine (white plastic) bowls are perfect for family style receptions. They are lightweight, easy to handle and very easy to pass around the table.

We are so excited to add a new wine glass to our rental inventory! If any of you are familiar with our Swirl line of glassware, you know what a great glass the Swirl Water Goblet is for events. It is the perfect all purpose wine glass...great for white wine or red wine....nice stem....durable...easy on the eyes. Well, we have brought in this same exact glass, but without the swirls!

We just got back from a fantastic trip to Las Vegas where we attended the American Rental Association's annual Rental Show. We brought some fun new items back with us - new cake stands, new serving bowls and new glassware just to name a few.

Snowy Winter Tables!

It may be beautiful weather here, but we just made it back from a snowy weekend out of town. The falling snow reminded us of some gorgeous tables that we designed a couple of years ago. The tables were set near a crisp clean river with a snowy backdrop. One of our black labs even made it into some of the photos!!

Walnut Wood Chairs went perfectly with the Delano Scroll Antique Blue/Chocolate table linen. The table was set with Platinum Beaded Chargers, Bistro China, Chloe Flatware, Bubble Clear Goblets and Chocolate Linen Napkins.

White Linen Hemstitch overlay paired with Walnut Chargers, Bistro China, Fiddle Flatware and Chocolate Linen Napkins.

Celebrations! First Annual Linen Showcase Event

Our first ever Linen Showcase Event was a HUGE success!! Clients were greeted with a 20' x 20' Canopy swagged in hot pink fabric and a Brushed Platinum Chandelier dripping with crystals.

Not only did clients receive 50% off their linen rentals at the event, but they also enjoyed delicious treats from Bella Bru, Beth Sogaard Catering, Karen's Bakery and Mama Kim Cooks.

We had several display tables to help inspire creativity!!

All of us at Celebrations! Party Rentals and Tents are extremely excited for this Saturday's Linen Showcase Event! If you have booked an appointment, please remember to arrive promptly at your appointment time and bring any inspiration photos, color swatches or other event ideas with you. New Website!!

We finally launched our new website yesterday!! It has been a work in progress for almost a year so we are pleased to finally have it up and running. If you have not had a chance to view the new site, please visit it at: Celebrations! Party Rentals and Tents.

We have added search features in our Linen department and for the entire site as well. Now when you are looking for red striped linens, you can simply search for "red" under the color category and "stripes" under the pattern category without the need to scroll through our entire linen section.

We also have a fresh new look for our Event Rentals and Tent Rentals sections. We have more information about our products listed on the site than ever before!

We welcome any of your comments on the new site as we work out the final tweaks and adjustments.

Recent Event: Hope in Harmony Event

Celebrations! Party Rentals and Tents was proud to be a part of Hope Productions' Hope in Harmony event at the Memorial Auditorium.

We installed a 66' x 66' clear span structure tent on the steps of the Memorial Auditorium complete with a brushed platinum chandelier and swagging.

Guests mingled under the tent for the cocktail hour and then moved inside for a delicious dinner.

The dinner reception tables were set with Mahogany Chivari Chairs, Chocolate linens, Manhattan Copper overlays and Walnut Wood Finish Chargers.

Following the dinner reception, guests were treated to the music styling of Kenny G. What a great night!!

Celebrations! on Style Network's "Whose Wedding Is It Anyways?"

Celebrations! Party Rentals and Tents was featured on the recent "Camo Couture" episode of "Whose Wedding Is It Anyways?". We were thrilled at the opportunity to participate in such a fun experience and help create a gorgeous wedding!

Our products were used exclusively to create the gorgeous Napa wedding featured on the show. The guest tables were draped with Oatmeal Linen rounds and Athena Bronze overlays and guests sat at Mahogany Chivari Chairs. The tables were set with our Walnut Wood Chargers, Platinum China, Deco Flatware and Emma Glassware.

To follow with the Walnut Wood look, they used our Walnut Wood Farm Table draped with our Fiona Olive Runner for the buffet.

Our Copper Hammered Chafers were used for the buffet service to create the perfect "Napa" feel.

The Norden Coffee Table and Copper Pintuck Lounge pieces were used to create a lounge area at the reception. These pieces went along great with the other elements of the wedding!

We had such a fun time with the crew filming at our warehouse for the show. The bride and groom competed in a crossword puzzle right in the middle of our warehouse. They also filmed in our showroom while the wedding planners were making the final decor decisions. Our owner even got a little camera time!!

First Day of Summer

Today is the first official day of summer and as such we want to share some of our favorite summer event looks. Summer is all about bright colors, simple and easy table settings, cold salads and even colder drinks.

Our 5' x 5' square tables are decorated with Lime Green linens, Kalvin Dinner Plates, Metro Flatware and Turquoise napkins. Guests sat at White Wedding Chairs.

Orange and Lime Green linens set the stage for this fun summer event.

Tables were set with Round Wicker Chargers, Rio Kiwi Dinner Plates, Metro Flatware and Clear Bubble Water Goblets. Basic orange linens and napkins contrasted with Linen Lime overlays and the Walnut Wood Chairs.

Celebrations! Elegant Party Rentals and Tents was a proud sponsor of this year's event for Hope Productions.

Celebrations! did the tents, tables, linens and chairs for the morning walk event, the VIP reception and VIP dinner. For the VIP reception guests stood at cocktail tables covered in Borgata Shell linens with Lime bow runners.

For the VIP dinner guests sat in black and white chivaris at tables covered with Metropolitan Black/White linens.

The tables were set with black chargers, Metro flatware, Benson Black and White Goblets, Sonoma Wine glasses and lime napkins.

Recent Event - Fiesta Themed Party

A Jumbo-Trac tent provided the perfect party space for this Mexican fiesta themed event. The tent was swagged with orange satin fabric and small piñatas hung from the tent for decoration. The tables were dressed with Lime table linens, Rio Ruby china, Fiddle flatware, Red Bubble goblets, Wine glasses and black napkins. To carry out the Fiesta theme, the centerpieces were a simple pepper and the favors were individual bottles of hot sauce.

Upcoming Event - Dynamite Weddings Bridal Mixer on February 25th

As a member of Dynamite Weddings, Celebrations! is one of the Dynamite Experts. We are hosting the second mixer in a fun, educational series called the Bridal Mixers. The mixer is going to be here at Celebrations Party Rentals and Tents in Roseville. It's an open house style where you can stop by and meet many of our fellow Dynamite Vendor experts!

The mixer will be hosted in a TENT and you will have access to view our SHOWROOM. This is a great opportunity to visit us if you cannot come to Celebrations! during normal business hours. The event will be held from 5:30 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, February 25th.

New Linen - Juliet Black

Celebrations! Elegant Party Rentals and Tents has added a new black overlay to our collection. The Juliet Black overlay is shown over white, but looks great over almost all of our solid colors. It is a very sheer black organza with a boucle knit swirl detail. This overlay would be perfect for any type of event!

Recent Event - Whitney and David's Wedding

Celebrations! Elegant Party Rentals and Tents recently set up an 82' x 100' structure tent for the elegant wedding of Whitney and David. The tent featured glass walls that allowed guests to view the beautiful pond outside.

Guests also enjoyed the cocktail hour under the attached tented porch outside.

Cafe lights strung on the porch allowed guests to enjoy the porch even after nightfall.

At the ceremony, guests sat at White Wedding Chairs and the Wrought Iron Bo Peep Poles lined the aisle.

Mason jars filled with flowers were hung from each pole with a piece of natural rope.

Inside the tent, burlap swagging and custom chandeliers added to the ambience of the event. The cassette style side walls also gave the tent a bit of "barn" detailing (see above photo). The guests sat at square tables draped with Latte linens and Ivory Linen overlays with a hemstitch detail.

The tables were set with the Walnut Lacquered Chargers to match the Walnut Wood Folding Chairs. Fiddle flatware added the perfect rustic touch to the table setting along with Whitney's own Mason jars and handmade napkins. Green and red apples made the perfect place card and table card holders on the table.

The homemade mini apple pie favors also adorned each guest's place setting. The gorgeous floral centerpieces were done by Ambience Floral Design.

The Walnut Wood Farm Tables were used for the amazing head table (chairs are Whitney's own). The table was decorated with a burlap runner, tons of ivory pillar candles and flowers to create the perfect look.

The Walnut Wood Farm Tables were also used for the drink station and soft serve ice cream bar. Raised 8' banquet tables draped in Chocolate linens were used for the two bar stations.

The beautiful cake table was decorated with a Chocolate floor length linen with a burlap square overlay. A Wrought Iron Tray Stand made for the perfect perch for the walnut wood cake plate.

Recent Event - 70's Disco Party

Celebrations! Elegant Party Rentals and Tents recently installed an 82' x 82' canopy for a 1970's Disco themed party. Guests mingled at lounge areas and at cocktail height guest tables (Note: Barstools were provided by client). The lounge areas were decorated with crystal hanging lights in three different colors: silver, black and white. The lounge furniture consisted of the rectangle, square and round pieces in black and in hot pink. Each lounge area even had a coffee table for guests to set their drinks.

Guests also danced on a black and white dance floor with a fun design (seen in the background of the photo above). The dance floor was all white in the center and around the perimeter, but with a pop of black in the middle. The hot pink and lime green swagging placed in the corners of the tent added to the "Disco Club" feel.

With the extremely hot weather, Celebrations! Elegant Party Rentals and Tents also provided the air conditioning for this event. The air conditioning kept guests cool and comfortable inside the tent even when it was 100 degrees outside.

Table of the Month - "Ribbon Inspired"

The ribbon detail on the Walnut Wood Chairs is what really makes this table “pop”! We simply tied different styles of ribbon onto the back of the chairs to create this look.

The table is draped with our basic Olive table linen and set with Walnut Finish Lacquered Chargers, Cognac Luster Dinner Plate, Kalvin Salad Plate, Fiddle Flatware and Sonoma Glassware. Each place setting has a different style of napkin to create an eclectic look. The napkins used are the Contempo Cappuccino, Natural Linen, Ivory Linen, Nut Linen and White Linen Swiss Dot. The green, white and brown color palette work well together to create a soft and inviting table design.

This new overlay is available in 120" Rounds, so it will reach the floor on a 60" round table. The "magic" about this overlay is that it will change colors depending on what linen it is used over. Table Design Idea - Votive Holder Groups

Napkin Ideas for Table Designs

Over the years, we at Celebrations! Elegant Party Rentals and Tents have done many table designs in our showroom and for events. Every time we design a table we try to think of new and fun ways to display the napkin on the table. Sometimes we do something simple - wrapping the napkin around the dinner plate or doing a simple fold and placing it under the dinner plate.

Another easy option to dress up the table design is to tie the napkin with ribbon, string or raffia.

A flower of even a sprig of rosemary or lavender tucked into the ribbon will add a beautiful touch!

An increasingly popular trend in events is to use the napkin as a holder for your menu. A simple pocket fold creates a perfect spot to display your menu for your guests.

All of these napkin ideas are quite simple to execute, but one we think one of the easiest options to do is to tie your napkin into a knot. This option looks great with any table design and could not be easier to do!

Table of the Month - "Vintage Modern"

This table pairs "vintage" elements with "modern" elements to create a fun and colorful look. Yellow, red and aqua are the key colors in this table design with white chivari chairs and white Bistro plates pulling the look together. The table is draped with a natural linen in bright yellow (vintage) and then dressed up with a red taffeta runner (modern). The place settings are a fun layering of colors with our Tiffany Blue Lacquered Charger, Bistro Dinner Plate and Rio Ruby Salad Plate. The Madison Flatware and L.A. Glasses add a modern touch to the setting. We then used vintage ribbon to wrap the glass centerpieces and the White Linen Swiss Dot napkin to bring the look together.

Unexpected color combinations are becoming a more popular trend for events. Over the past few years we have seen lots of fun color combinations pop up in wedding magazines: hot pink and orange, navy blue and yellow and even red and tiffany blue. This table combines hot pink, white, chocolate and tiffany blue to create a fun and different color palette. The table is draped with a simple white table linen and our Catalina Watermelon overlay. Our tiffany blue lacquered chargers, Bistro dinner plates and Rio Flamingo salad plates make for a fun setting against the hot pink linen. The chocolate napkin is wrapped with a tiffany blue and hot pink polka dot ribbon that complements the polka dot centerpiece. Adding a chocolate pad to the white chivari chairs really pulls together this fun look!

Spotlight On: Walnut Stained Farm Table

Celebrations! Elegant Party Rentals and Tents rents beautiful 4' x 8' Walnut Stained Farm Tables. When we originally started to rent the tables, we thought they would be great for buffet displays and dessert bars (and they have made for some amazing buffet displays). We never knew how amazing they could look as guest tables! This is a display we did for a bridal fair in which we set the table with Kalvin China, Metro Flatware, Olive Bubble Water Goblet, LA Wine and Champagne Glass and the Seersucker Celery Napkin. Our Walnut Wood Folding Chairs are the perfect complement to this gorgeous table!

Another bonus with these tables is that there is no need to use a linen tablecloth. Although, one of our beautiful linen table runners would make a nice addition! For this setting, we simply laid decorative ribbon down the length of the table underneath the place settings.

Table of the Month - "Shoreside Elegance"

This beachy table was inspired by our new Jasper Ocean table runner. We paired the runner with a khaki linen to help bring in a sandy look and White Wedding Chairs to keep everything looking crisp and clean.

Our Aqua Bubble glasses, Sonoma stemware, Pearl flatware and Kona Clear plates were added to bring a casual and classy look to the setting. The Robin's Egg Linen Napkin was tied with twine and accented with a simple name tag. Finally, to portray our beach themed table scape shells were scattered down the center of the table. This look can be easily created and used for many different types of events.

Recent Event - Colorful and Romantic Wedding

Celebrations! Elegant Party Rentals and Tents erected a beautiful structure tent with a pleated liner and our brushed platinum chandeliers. This wedding had a color palette including black, white, burgundy, pink and green.

Guests sat at black chivari chairs and the tables were decorated with the Amore White overlay, Platinum Beaded Chargers and Chloe flatware.

Gorgeous flowers adorned each table with some low centerpieces and some high centerpieces perched on the Silver Candlesticks.

For cocktail hour guests gathered around the pool and sat on white lounge furniture and the cocktail tables were dressed with our Delano Black and White linens. This event design was created by Debra Hiebert of Tres Fabu Event Planning and Design. The florals were created by Shelley McArdle of Floral Artistry.

Recent Event - Avery's First Birthday Party

Celebrations! Elegant Party Rentals and Tents was happy to celebrate the first birthday of our youngest "employee" Avery! She had a circus themed party complete with a tent, popcorn, sno-cones and cupcakes. The tent was swagged with bright colors to match the table linens. The tables were draped with different bright color table linens and the "Magic Bubbles" overlay.
Her clown, monkey and lion cupcakes were displayed on our copper 3-tiered tray.

New Item - Abigail Linen

Celebrations! Elegant Party Rentals and Tents has added another new linen to our inventory - "Abigail" . This new overlay is available in 90" squares and work great on any size table. It is a peal colored sheer fabric with an apple green and pink embroidery. This linen would be work beautifully for weddings, bridal showers or baby showers.

Recent Event - Tented Wedding

Celebrations! Elegant Party Rentals and Tents had the opportunity to work on this beautiful wedding with a great event team. The tent was erected on an uneven surface, so a state of the art flooring system was used to level the flooring of the tent.

Before:

This 50' x 100' structure tent was draped with a white pleated liner, swagged in chocolate taffeta and lit by our wrought iron chandeliers.

Guests danced on an all white dance floor and the head table was adorned with beautiful florals. The guest tables were draped with ivory satin and Milan Leaf linens and guest sat at Mahogany Chivaris adorned with ivory organza bows. Tables were set with Venice amber chargers, Madison flatware, Sonoma glassware and Diana china. For the centerpiece the florist created beautiful flowers to adorn our Brushed Platinum Candelabras.

The ceremony was set with White Wedding Chairs and our Wrought Iron Bo Peep Stakes lined the aisle. The string quartet sat under a 10' x 10' canopy lined with a pleated liner.

New Item - Bloom Cappucino Linen

Celebrations! Elegant Party Rentals and Tents has added a new linen to our linen collection. Bloom Cappuccino is available in 84" Square Overlays and also has a corresponding napkin in the same color palette called Contempo Cappuccino. The ivory and cappuccino coloring of this linen can go with many different event looks. The napkin is also reversible! We have paired this linen duo with our Walnut Finished Charger, Bistro China, Fiddle Flatware and Sonoma Glassware.

Recent Event - Hope Productions Walk & Rock

Celebrations! Elegant Party Rentals and Tents was a proud sponsor of the first annual Hope Productions Walk & Rock. The event was held at Raley's Field and consisted of a walk in the morning and a VIP reception and dinner followed by a Journey concert. The VIP reception was set up with standing cocktail tables covered with different bright colored linens and all were covered with the Magic Bubbles overlay. You can see that each table looks completely different even though it is the same overlay on all of them! The tables for the VIP dinner were done in a color palette of purple, gold and black. The tables were draped with the Cosmo Aubergine linens and guests sat at gold chivari chairs. Each table was set with gold lacquered chargers, Scroll flatware, Benson water goblets, Sonoma wine glasses and a concord dinner napkin.

The different dinner courses were served on different china patterns: salads were served on Kalvin china, entrees were served on Marilyn china and desserts were served on Bistro china and in our Crew bowls:

Recent Event - Dynamite Weddings Workshop

The Dynamite Weddings Workshop was a great success to help local brides find their wedding style. We set up 5 different style tables (Glamorous Wedding, Outdoor Chic Wedding, Trend 2009 Wedding, Fun & Funky Wedding and Themed (Zen Garden) Wedding). Each table had a gorgeous centerpiece designed by a Dynamite Weddings Florist (Visual Impact, Blooms by Martha Andrews, Lilygrass and Flourish). The Child Abuse Prevention Center held their annual Inspirations event last night at The Elks Tower in Sacramento. Celebrations! Elegant Party Rentals and Tents was excited to be a Ruby sponsor of this year's event to raise money for this great cause. Our own Lindsey Ferguson sat on the Event Planning Committee this year to help with this event. To honor the Roaring 20's theme, guests sat at Gold Chivari Chairs with Ivory Satin Table Linens and sipped cocktails from coffee cups (just like they did during the days of prohibition). The top chefs in the Sacramento area provided the different courses for the evening: Chef Patrick Mulvaney of Mulvaney Bank & Loan served absolutely delicious appetizers, Chef Michael Tuohy of The Grange served a scrumptious salad course, Chef Randall Selland of Ella Dining Room Bar served an amazing entree course and Chef Nicole Becker of Ambrosia Cafe served a fantastic dessert course. Recent Event - Cristo Rey High School Annual Scholarship Dinner

Celebrations! Elegant Party Rentals and Tents was proud to be part of this year's annual scholarship dinner of Cristo Rey High School. If you don't know about Cristo Rey, please check out their website: Cristo Rey High School Sacramento . They are really making a difference in our community by providing college preparatory education for youth from low income families. This year we put up another structure tent on their campus to house over 500 guests for their fund raising dinner. The students and staff of Cristo Rey enjoyed watching the construction of the tent and the set up of the dinner inside. We even had fantastic student volunteers help set up the tables and chairs for the event. Not only did the event help raise money for the students and their tuition, but everyone had such a fun time. The dinner prepared by The Supper Club was fantastic and all of the volunteers who helped to serve were amazing. What really makes this a fun event for our staff, is all the words of encouragement and praise from the staff and students of Cristo Rey. They are so appreciative to all of the companies and individuals who support Cristo Rey. We look forward to being a part of this event next year and we hope you also choose to be a Cristo Rey supporter!
